Conceived in partnership with Atelier TAG, the Bibliothèque du Plateau is nestled in the heart of the Plateau à Gatineau, an eco-friendly neighbourhood that began development in 2007.
The architecture aimed for total transparency, blurring the lines between the library and the surrounding natural environment. A glass enclosure contains three solid pavilions, which house the building services, while the space in between opens up to the Gatineau park, the Boucher forest area, and the Outaouais river.
