Founded in Montreal in 1971, NEUF architect(e)s has grown to become one of the largest and most diverse architecture and design firms in Eastern Canada. Its focus on relationships with clients and employees has led to the successful completion of over 7,500 projects. Over the years these have included work for Canadian institutions such as the headquarters of Canada Post and Radio-Canada in Ottawa, the ground-breaking Sanctuaire du Mont-Royal and the popular Mont-Tremblant resort, as well as many precious collaborations such as the New CHUM (with CannonDesign), the Gatineau Library (with Atelier TAG), and important infrastructural work for aerospace leaders Pratt & Whitney and Bombardier.   • Sustainable Building Coordinator | Montreal

    Reporting to the Partner Architect, this person will work with the Sustainable Strategies team and support the firm's various project teams. The ideal candidate demonstrates attention to detail in their work, the ability to multi-task, synthesize information, and an interest in the various environmental certifications. The main responsibilities will include:

    • Act as a project manager to ensure successful project realization, in accordance with contractual needs and objectives;
    • Support the various stakeholders and internal teams in the integration of sustainable strategies and requirements of different certifications for new and existing building projects;
    • Identity sustainable strategy opportunities and propose solutions for different projects;
    • Produce the required technical documents for LEED, WELL, Zero Carbon and any other relevant certifications;
    • Coordinate and monitor LEED, WELL, and any other relevant projects with project team members;
    • Produce project analysis in accordance with LEED, WELL and other rating systems or sustainability initiatives;
    • Participate in the creation of technical documents and act as an internal reference for questions related to sustainability;

    REQUIRED PROFILE

    • Diploma in Architecture or related field such as engineering, construction or sustainable development;
    • Good at explaining the principles of sustainability strategies for different built environment or market contexts;
    • Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills;
    • Good organizational skills, thorough work and ability to work in a team;
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both French and English (we have clients in both languages);
    • 2 years of experience in project managing and LEED coordination (an asset);
    • Knowledge in green building rating systems and assessment, specifically LEED, WELL, Passive House or Carbon Zero, and their impact on construction projects (an asset);
    • LEED or WELL Certification (an asset)
    • Knowledge of Revit and different plug-ins (an asset);

    Reporting to the Director of Finance and Administration, this person will provide support to the HR team and will ensure that candidates and employees have a remarkable experience.

    Your responsibilities will be:

    • Advise managers and employees in the interpretation and application of laws, policies, and procedures;
    • Follow-up on employee files (probationary, leave-of-absence, departures, etc…);
    • Participate in updating and developing of internal policies and HR procedures;
    • Answer questions regarding HR;
    • Assist with renewal of work permits.

    RECRUITMENT COMPONENT:

    • Participate in the development of innovative strategies to find potential candidates using different tools (LinkedIn, job search platforms, social networks),
    • Post job openings on various platforms, sort resumes and pre-screen candidates,
    • Manage the interview process (pre-interview call, schedule meetings, assist the partners and directors during the interviews, follow-up with the candidates),
